Yousef "Joe" Sweid (Arabic: يوسف سويد, Hebrew: יוסף "ג'ו" סוויד; born June 22, 1976) is a talented actor and dancer from Israel. He is known for his work in both theater and film, and he has appeared in many TV shows.

Early Life and Family

Yousef Sweid grew up in Haifa, Israel. He was born into a Christian-Arab family. He later studied theater at Tel Aviv University, where he learned a lot about acting.

Yousef Sweid was married to Yael Ronen, who is a theater director. They had a son together. Later, in 2018, he married Adi Shilon, a television host. Their daughter was born in October 2019. They mostly live in Berlin, Germany.

Acting and Dance Career

Yousef Sweid began his acting journey at the Arab-Hebrew Theater in Jaffa. He then started appearing in various television shows. Some of his early TV work includes Dancing again tonight and Lane of White Chairs.

He also performed in Oh Brother Boom Boom, which won an award in 2003. Other TV shows he was part of include Dragon and Immigrants.

Stage Performances

On stage, Yousef Sweid performed in plays like Things you can see from here, you cannot see from there in 2001. He also appeared in Sea Shadow in 2002.

He took part in an international play called The Time We Did Not Know Anything About Each Other. He also performed in a dance show called Barefoot. In 2001, he started leading a community theater program. This program brought together both Arab and Jewish people in Ramla, a town in Israel.

Yousef Sweid also brings to life the puppet Mahboob on Israel's Hop! channel. Mahboob means "beloved" in Arabic, and the puppet appears on Sesame Street.
