Joining Gamba Osaka
In 1993, Hashimoto joined Gamba Osaka, a well-known football club. He quickly became an important player for the team. He played many games as a central defender during the 1994 and 1995 seasons.
Moving to Sagan Tosu
By 1996, Hashimoto played fewer matches for Gamba Osaka. In 1997, he decided to move to Sagan Tosu. This club was part of the Japan Football League at the time. He became a regular player for Sagan Tosu for two seasons. He played a total of 48 games and scored 4 goals for the club. Yuji Hashimoto retired from playing professional football at the end of the 1998 season. Overall, he played 102 professional games and scored 4 goals.
Coaching and Management Career

Early Coaching Roles
Hashimoto began his coaching career in 1999 with Sagawa Express Osaka. In 2000, he moved to Sagawa Printing, which was a club in the Japanese Regional Leagues. He worked there as a coach.
Becoming a Manager
Sagawa Printing was promoted to the Japan Football League in 2003. That same year, Yuji Hashimoto took on the role of manager for the team. In 2004, he moved to another Regional Leagues club, Central Kobe. This club later changed its name to Banditonce Kobe and then Banditonce Kakogawa. He managed this team until 2006.
Later Management Positions
In 2007, Hashimoto returned to Sagawa Printing for one season as their manager. The following year, in 2008, he went back to Banditonce Kakogawa. He became their manager again in 2009 and stayed with the club until 2016. His last known management role was with Lagend Shiga FC, a Regional Leagues club, which he joined in 2017. He left this position in July 2018.
