Yukitaka Omi's Club Football Career

Yukitaka Omi was born in Tokyo, Japan, on December 15, 1952. He joined a new football club called Yomiuri in 1969. This club quickly moved up through the leagues. Yomiuri started winning major trophies. In 1979, they won their first big title, the 1979 JSL Cup. Omi and his team continued their success, becoming league champions in 1983 and 1984. They also won the 1984 Emperor's Cup and another 1985 JSL Cup. Omi played for Yomiuri until he retired in 1986. He was a key player for the club during its most successful years.
