Yukitaka Omi (小見 幸隆, Omi Yukitaka, born December 15, 1952) is a famous Japanese football player and coach. He was born on December 15, 1952. He played as a midfielder for many years. He also coached football teams after his playing career.

Playing Career: Yukitaka Omi's Football Journey

Starting Out: Joining Yomiuri Club

Yukitaka Omi was born in Tokyo, Japan. He started his football journey in 1969. He joined a brand new club called Yomiuri. This club would later become very famous.

Climbing the Ranks: From Division 2 to Division 1

The Yomiuri club quickly became successful. In 1972, they moved up to Japan Soccer League Division 2. Then, in 1978, they were promoted again. They reached Division 1, the top league in Japan.

Winning Trophies: A Champion Player

Omi and his team started winning big titles. In 1979, they won their first major trophy, the 1979 JSL Cup. They also became champions of the league in 1983 and 1984. The team also won the 1984 Emperor's Cup and the 1985 JSL Cup. Yukitaka Omi played for Yomiuri until he retired in 1986.

National Team Career: Playing for Japan

Representing His Country: Japan National Team

Yukitaka Omi also had the honor of playing for his country. On May 23, 1978, he played his first game for the Japan national football team. This match was against Thailand.

Becoming a Manager: Leading Teams

In July 2001, Yukitaka Omi became the manager of Tokyo Verdy. He took over from the previous manager, Yasutaro Matsuki. However, he coached the team until April 2002. In April 2005, he became the manager for another club, Arte Takasaki. He managed this team for one season.
