Yumna Zaidi is a very talented Pakistani actress. She is well-known for her amazing performances in TV shows that tell social stories and romantic tales. Yumna has won many important awards for her acting, including seven Lux Style Awards and two Hum Awards. She has won more Lux Style Awards than any other actress!

She started her acting career in 2012 with a supporting role in the TV drama Thakan. Soon after, she began playing main characters in many popular television series. Some of her early lead roles were in the family drama Meri Dulari and the exciting show Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi, both in 2013. The latter even earned her a nomination for a Hum Award for Best Supporting Actress. She became very popular for playing a troubled wife in the drama Rishtay Kuch Adhooray Se and received praise for her work in shows like Mausam (2014), the comedy Jugnoo (2015), the romance Zara Yaad Kar (2016), and the romantic comedy Yeh Raha Dil (2017).

Yumna Zaidi continued to earn critical acclaim and became a leading actress by starring in Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila (2017), Inkaar (2019), Pyar Ke Sadqay (2020), Dil Na Umeed To Nahi (2021), and Bakhtawar (2022). Her roles in Inkaar, Pyar Ke Sadqay, and Bakhtawar each won her the Lux Style Award for Best Television Actress. In 2022, she gained huge recognition for her role in the popular series Tere Bin.

Starting Her Career in Television

Yumna Zaidi made her first appearance on screen in 2012. She had a supporting role in the ARY Digital drama Thakan. After that, she quickly moved on to play lead roles. She starred in the melodrama Khushi Ek Roag and then appeared in Urdu 1's Teri Raah Main Rul Gai, where she played the character of Maryam.

Rising to Stardom with Memorable Roles

From 2013 onwards, Yumna Zaidi received a lot of praise for playing characters with deep emotions. She starred in Geo TV's Meri Dulari (2013) and Hum TV's Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi (2013). Her role in Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Hum Awards. Her acclaimed role as a troubled wife in the tragic romance Rishtay Kuch Adhooray Se (2013) truly established her as a top actress in Pakistan. This role brought her nominations for both the Hum Award for Best Actress and Best Actress Popular awards.

Yumna continued to gain wider recognition for playing many different types of characters. These included roles in dramas like Mausam (2014), Guzaarish (2015), and Jugnoo (2015). In 2016, she appeared in Momina Duraid's Zara Yaad Kar, playing the main character Uzma Ikhtiar.

In 2017, she starred in Hum TV's Yeh Raha Dil as Hayat, a character who faced many challenges after losing her mother and being left by her father. Her chemistry with her co-star was loved by viewers, earning her a nomination for Best On-screen Couple at the Hum Awards. Later that year, she played Sila in Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila, a character dealing with a very serious social challenge. A critic from The News International praised her, saying she made the role believable from start to finish.

Between 2018 and 2019, Yumna appeared in Pukaar and Dil Kiya Karey. She also played Hajra in the social drama Inkaar. She made special appearances in the series Choti Choti Batain and the telefilm Shaadi Impossible.
