Momina Duraid (Urdu: مُومِنہ دُرید) is a famous Pakistani director and producer. She was born on June 30, 1971. She is a top producer and creative head at the TV channel Hum TV. She also runs her own company called MD Productions.
Momina Duraid has created and produced many popular TV shows. These include Dastaan (2010), Humsafar (2011–12), and Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2012–13). In 2015, she also started directing films, like Bin Roye. She is married to Duraid Qureshi. Her mother-in-law, Sultana Siddiqui, is the founder of Hum Network. In 2015, Momina was named one of the "100 Most Inspirational Women" by Pond's.

Her Journey into Media
Before working in TV and film, Momina Duraid was a marketing executive at a bank. She never thought she would work in media. Her mother-in-law, Sultana Siddiqui, was already in the industry. At first, Momina only handled money matters. But soon, she started getting involved in the creative side of things.
Her first independent TV show was Mere Paas Paas. It was a big success and got great reviews. In 2010, she produced Dastaan. This show was based on a novel called Bano. It was about the Partition of India. Dastaan became very popular and is still one of the most loved TV shows. It won many awards, including the Hum Honorary Most Challenging Subject Award. After this, Momina started her own company, Momina Duraid Productions. She also became a senior producer at Hum TV.
Creating Popular TV Shows
In 2011, Momina Duraid helped bring the novel Humsafar to TV. Two other production houses had said no to it before. But when Humsafar was released, it became incredibly popular. People all over the world loved it. Many critics said Humsafar helped bring back the golden age of Pakistani dramas. The main actors, Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan, became huge stars because of the show. Hum TV even gave Humsafar a special award called the Hum Honorary Phenomenal Serial Award.
In 2016, many of Momina's popular shows became available on online streaming service Netflix. These included Dastaan, Humsafar, and Zindagi Gulzar Hai.
Stepping into Films
In 2015, Momina Duraid co-directed her first film, Bin Roye. Her company, Hum Films, produced it. The film was a big hit and became one of the highest-earning Pakistani films ever. After Bin Roye, Hum Films has produced and shared many other films both in Pakistan and around the world.
