Yuri Andreyevich Kolokolnikov (Russian: Юрий Андреевич Колокольников; born on December 15, 1980) is a Russian actor who performs in plays and movies. In other countries, Yuri is well known for playing Styr in the TV show Game of Thrones. He also played Gennadi Bystrov in The Americans.

Early Life and First Steps in Acting
Yuri Kolokolnikov was born in Moscow, Russia. When he was young, his parents separated. In 1985, his mother moved to Canada with Yuri and his brother. Yuri is a citizen of both Russia and Canada.
When Yuri was a child, he was very energetic and sometimes hard to manage. His mother sent him back to Russia to live with his father. Soon after arriving in Moscow, Yuri started studying at a film school. He also got involved in making shows for children. His father then took him to audition for a director named Savva Kulish. Yuri got a small part in a movie called Iron Curtain.
When he was 15 years old, Yuri finished high school early by taking special exams. He then applied to the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute, a famous acting school.
After he graduated in 2000, Yuri went to Hollywood in the United States. He lived in Los Angeles and New York for a year. He worked different jobs like being a waiter and a delivery person. But he couldn't get big roles in movies, so he went back to Moscow.
In 2013, he helped with a special event called "Total Dictation" at MSU Faculty of Journalism. During this event, people write down a text to test their Russian language skills.
Yuri's Acting Career
Yuri Kolokolnikov has acted in more than 40 movies since 1998. He met director Kirill Serebrennikov, who asked him to be in a TV show called Diary of a Killer. He also performed in a play called Sweet Bird of Youth at the Sovremennik Theatre in 2002.
In 2014, Yuri played the role of Styr, a powerful leader, in the fourth season of the popular TV series Game of Thrones.
He had a main role in the Russian comedy movie Breakfast with Daddy in 2016. This film is about a rich man who finds out he has a 10-year-old daughter.
In 2017, Yuri played a mercenary leader named Ivan in the American action-comedy movie The Hitman's Bodyguard.
More recently, in 2024, Yuri played Koroviev in the movie version of The Master and Margarita.
Personal Life
Yuri Kolokolnikov has two daughters. His first daughter, Taisia, was born in 2006. He also has a daughter named Sofia, born in January 2011, with actress Kseniya Rappoport.
