Yusuke Nakatani (中谷 勇介, Nakatani Yusuke, born September 22, 1978) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder or Defender. Nakatani was born in Uji, Japan, on September 22, 1978. He had a long career playing for several Japanese clubs and even one in Thailand.

Playing for Clubs
Early Career and Nagoya Grampus Eight
After finishing high school, Yusuke Nakatani joined Nagoya Grampus Eight in 1997. In 1998, he became a regular player. He often played as a left side-back.
Loan Spells and Return to Nagoya
In 1999, Nakatani went to Urawa Reds for a short time. In 2000, he played for Kawasaki Frontale on loan. Both of these clubs were moved down to the J2 League during his time there. He returned to Nagoya Grampus Eight in 2001. He continued to play for them until 2005. During this time, he played many games as a left midfielder and left side-back.
Moving to New Teams
Nakatani then moved to Kashiwa Reysol in 2006. He did not play much there. In September 2007, he joined his local club, Kyoto Sanga FC, which was in the J2 League. His team was promoted to the J1 League in 2008. He played many matches for them.
Later Career and Retirement
In 2010, Nakatani played less for Kyoto Sanga FC. He then moved to Tokyo Verdy, a J2 club, in 2011. In 2013, he went to Thailand to play for Khonkaen. Yusuke Nakatani decided to retire from playing football at the end of the 2013 season.
Playing for Japan
Japan U-17 National Team
In August 1995, Yusuke Nakatani was chosen to play for the Japan U-17 national team. He played in the 1995 FIFA U-17 World Championship. He played in all three matches for his team. He came on as a substitute in these games.
