Yuzo Kobayashi (小林 祐三, Kobayashi Yūzō, born 15 November 1985) is a Japanese former professional footballer. He played as a defender. Yuzo Kobayashi was born in Hamura, Tokyo. He played for several top Japanese clubs during his career.

Playing Career: A Defender's Journey
Yuzo Kobayashi had a long and successful career in Japanese football. He played for four different clubs. He was known for his strong defense.
Starting Out: Kashiwa Reysol (2004–2010)
Kobayashi began his professional journey with Kashiwa Reysol in 2004. He spent seven seasons with this club. During his time there, he played in 183 league matches. In 2010, he helped Kashiwa Reysol win the J2 League title. This win helped the team get promoted to the top league.
Success with Yokohama F. Marinos (2011–2016)
In 2011, Kobayashi moved to Yokohama F. Marinos. This was a very important part of his career. He played 187 league games for them. In 2013, he helped his team win the Emperor's Cup. This is one of Japan's biggest football tournaments. He also helped them finish second in the J1 League that same year.
Later Years: Sagan Tosu and Criacao Shinjuku (2017–2021)
After his time at Yokohama, Kobayashi joined Sagan Tosu in 2017. He played there for four seasons. He appeared in 65 league matches for the club. His final professional club was Criacao Shinjuku in 2021. He played 16 games before retiring from professional football.
National Team Experience: Representing Japan
Yuzo Kobayashi also played for his country. In June 2005, he was chosen for the Japan U-20 national team. He played in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship. In this big tournament, he played in all four matches. He played as a defensive midfielder, helping protect his team's goal.
