Early Life and Club Career
Zózimo started his football journey in 1950. He played for a youth team called São Cristóvão. In 1951, he joined Bangu, a professional club. He played for Bangu for many years, until 1965. This was the longest time he spent with any club.
After Bangu, Zózimo played for other clubs. These included Flamengo and Portuguesa in Brazil. He also played internationally. He joined Sport Boys in Peru in 1966. Later, he played for Miraflores and Águila.
Playing for Brazil: World Cup Hero
Zózimo played for the Brazil national team from 1955 to 1962. He played in 35 matches for his country. He was part of a golden era for Brazilian football. This was when Brazil became a powerhouse in the sport.
Winning the 1958 World Cup
