Zachary Zarba (born April 28, 1975) is an American professional basketball referee. He works in the National Basketball Association (NBA). You might see him on the court wearing uniform number 15. Zach has been an official NBA referee since 2004. He has worked over 1,100 regular-season games. He has also refereed more than 130 playoff games. This includes 11 exciting NBA Finals games! He even officiated the 2016 NBA All-Star Game in Toronto.

Who is Zach Zarba?
Zach Zarba was born in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up there and went to local schools. He graduated from Midwood High School. Before joining the NBA, Zach worked as a referee in other leagues.
Early Refereeing Career
Zach spent two years officiating in the NBA Development League. This league is now called the NBA G League. He was part of the crew that refereed the 2003 D-League Finals. He also worked for one year in the CBA league. Plus, he spent two years officiating in the IBL.
Collegiate and High School Experience
Zach also has experience refereeing college basketball games. He worked for three years in various college conferences. These included the ACC, SEC, and Colonial conferences. Before that, he spent three years refereeing high school games in New York.
Zach's College Days
Zach attended the State University of New York at New Paltz. While there, he was a member of the college basketball team. He was even named captain during his final year. He earned a degree in Political Science. Today, he helps out with community service. He works with EBC High School in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

Zach Zarba is married to Christiane. They have two children together.
