In the 1950s, he went to Mangembo for his higher studies. Then, in 1960, he received a special scholarship. This scholarship allowed him to study in Belgium, at a university called l'Université libre de Bruxelles.
Helping Others and Leading
After his studies, Zamenga came back to Congo in 1965. He was given an important job as the Director of Student Social Work. This meant he helped students with their social needs and well-being.
In 1977, Zamenga opened a special center called Kikesa. This center helped young people who had physical disabilities. He led this center until 1981, making a big difference in many lives. Later, in 1984, he became the general director of the National Society of Congolese publishers, composers, and authors. This role meant he helped manage the works of writers and artists in his country.
A Life Dedicated to Writing and Helping
Towards the end of the 1980s, Zamenga made a big decision. He chose to leave his official jobs to focus completely on writing and helping people. In 1986, he even turned down a job at a famous international organization called Unesco. He wanted to spend all his time writing books and doing good deeds.
