In 2013, Zeina Nassar and her coach made a big change. They worked to alter the German boxing rules. This meant that women could now train and compete while wearing headscarves. She won her first championship in 2014. She became the Berlin boxing champion. Zeina still holds this title today. She has won it five times in a row.
In 2018, Zeina made history. She became the first Muslim woman to win the German Women's Elite Championship. This was in the 'up to 57 kg' weight category. Zeina hopes to change boxing rules worldwide in the future. She wants to make it possible for more women to compete, even at the Olympics.
