The Zkara (also called Zakara or Zukur) are a group of people with a long history. Their name in Arabic can be الذكور, الذكرة, or الزكرة. In the Berber language, they are called ⵉⵎⴰⵢⴻⵏ (Imayen). In English, their name means "The Masculines." They are part of the Zenati Berber groups.
The Zkara people live in the northeastern part of Morocco. You can find them in the eastern region, about 25 kilometers (around 15 miles) southwest of a city called Oujda. They are located in an area known as the Mestferki commune, which is not far from the border between Morocco and Algeria.
