Zoë Kate Hinde Heller (born on July 7, 1965) is an English writer. She is known for her work as a journalist and for writing novels. Zoë Heller has lived in New York City for a long time.
She has written three novels. These include Everything You Know (published in 1999) and The Believers (published in 2008). Her novel Notes on a Scandal (published in 2003) was very popular. It was even made into a movie in 2006. This book was also considered for a special award called the Booker Prize.

Zoë Heller was born in St Pancras, London, which is in north London, England. She was the youngest of four children. Her mother was Caroline Carter, and her father was Lukas Heller. Her father was a successful writer for movies. Zoë's parents separated when she was five years old.
Her father came from Germany and was Jewish. Her mother was English and a Quaker. Zoë's grandfather, Hermann Heller, was a well-known thinker about politics. Her brother, Bruno Heller, also writes for movies and TV shows. Her sister, Lucy Heller, is a leader at a charity called Ark.
Zoë Heller went to Haverstock School in north London. Later, she studied English at St Anne's College, Oxford university. She did very well there. After that, she went to Columbia University in New York. There, she earned a master's degree.
Her Writing Career
Zoë Heller started her career working at a publishing company in the UK. She also reviewed books for different publications. Later, she became a writer for The Independent on Sunday newspaper.
In the early 1990s, she moved back to New York. She began writing for Vanity Fair magazine. She also wrote for The New Yorker magazine. For a time, she had a weekly column in The Sunday Times Magazine in the UK. She also wrote columns for The Daily Telegraph. In 2002, she won an award for being the "Columnist of the Year." Zoë Heller also helped write the movie script for an independent film called Twenty-One in 1991.
Her Family Life
In 2006, Zoë Heller married Lawrence Konner, who is also a screenwriter. They separated in 2010. Zoë Heller lives in New York City. She has two daughters named Lula and Frankie.
