Zombie Bums from Uranus is a super funny novel by Australian author Andy Griffiths. It's the second book in his hilarious Bum trilogy series. This book came out in 2003 all over the world. But guess what? In the United States, it had a slightly different name: Zombie Butts from Uranus!
What's the Story About?
The story kicks off with Zack Freeman, the main character from the first book, The Day My Bum Went Psycho. Zack is skiing down a "mountain" and arguing with his bum. He faces many dangers. Suddenly, Zack falls off a waterfall!
But don't worry, he's okay. Zack soon realizes he's actually in a super cool "bum fighting simulator." This machine was built by Silas Sterne. Zack has been training a lot. After another scolding from "The Kicker," Zack decides he's done with bum-fighting. He leaves the academy.
Meanwhile, far away near Uranus, Zack's parents, James and Judi Freeman, are busy. They've just found a bum from Uranus! It turns out these bums are what make up the planet's rings. Back on Earth, Zack finds his hometown completely destroyed. A "Bum-blitz" flattened everything. Luckily, his Gran's house is safe, which makes Zack very happy.
