"Zutto Zutto Tomodachi" (ずっとずっとトモダチ, lit. Friends Forever and Ever) is a fun song by Japanese child actress and singer Mana Ashida. It was released on May 16, 2012. This song was Mana Ashida's third official single.
It was a very popular song! It was used as both the opening and ending themes for the Jewelpet Kira Deco! anime series. This series was made by Sanrio and Studio Comet. The song also helped promote the movie Jewelpet the Movie: Sweets Dance Princess. After it came out, the single reached the 17th spot on the Oricon Weekly Singles Charts in Japan.
Making the Song
The song "Zutto Zutto Tomodachi" was first announced on March 16, 2012. To help promote the song and the movie, a special event was held. This event was a press conference on March 30, 2012. It took place at the Imperial Hotel, Tokyo.
At the event, Mana Ashida herself was there. Also, Yuko Yamaguchi, the designer of the famous character Hello Kitty, joined her. They were there with other special guests to talk about the Jewelpet the Movie: Sweets Dance Princess film. The song was released in two different versions. One was a regular CD called "CD Maxi". The other was a "CD+DVD" version, which included the music video for "Zutto Zutto Tomodachi".
