José Alejandro Lora Serna (born December 2, 1952), known as Álex Lora, is a famous Mexican musician and composer. He is best known as the leader of the Mexican rock band El Tri. He has been with the band for over 50 years!
Álex Lora started his first band on October 12, 1968. It was called Three Souls in My Mind. Later, because of some changes, he formed a new band. Fans already called his group "El Tri," so that became the new band's name.
Lora is considered a "legendary" musician. He has received many honors. His hometown of Puebla, Mexico, named him a "Distinguished Pueblan Citizen." He also received the keys to the city in Miami. In his hometown of Tequila, Nayarit, November 10, 2002, was even named "Álex Lora Day." There is also a statue of him there.
