Discovering Álvarez
Álvarez is a charming town in Argentina. It's part of the Santa Fe province, which is like a big region within the country. The town is known for its quiet life and friendly community.
The Story of How Álvarez Began
Álvarez was founded a long time ago, on July 7, 1890. It was started by a woman named Justina Rodríguez. She was the young widow of Nicolás María Álvarez, who owned a large ranch called an estancia nearby. A small group of people already lived around this ranch.
At first, Justina's son, Bernardino, helped manage the new town. This continued until 1902. Then, the governor of the province officially appointed a group of people to manage the town. This group is called an administrative commission.
