Álvaro María Nadal Belda is a Spanish expert in economics and a politician. He has been a member of the Congress of Deputies since 2008. The Congress of Deputies is like the main parliament in Spain, where elected people make laws.

Career in Government
Before becoming a minister, Álvaro Nadal held various important jobs. He worked in different government departments. These included the ministries that deal with the country's economy, money, and industries.
Since 2004, he was the Secretary of Economy for the Popular Party. This is one of the main political groups in Spain. From 2011, he was the Director-General of the Economic Office for the Prime Minister of Spain. This means he was a top advisor on money matters to the country's leader.
In 2008, people in Spain voted for him. He was elected as a "Deputy" in the Congress of Deputies. A Deputy is an elected representative who helps make laws for the country.
Ministerial Role
In 2016, Mariano Rajoy, who was the Prime Minister of Spain at the time, chose Álvaro Nadal for a big job. He appointed him as the new Minister of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda.
