Ángel Luis Casero Moreno (born 27 September 1972) is a former Spanish road bicycle racer. He was a professional cyclist from 1994 to 2005. Ángel Casero is best known for winning the Vuelta a España in 2001.

A Champion Cyclist

Ángel Casero started his professional cycling career in 1994. He quickly showed his talent in road cycling, especially as a strong climber.

Early Wins and National Titles

His first big win came in 1995 at the Clásica a los Puertos de Guadarrama. This was a one-day race in Spain. In 1997, he won the Vuelta a Castilla y León, which is a stage race. Ángel Casero became the Spanish national champion in road racing twice. He won this title in both 1998 and 1999. This showed he was one of the best cyclists in Spain.

Success in Grand Tours

Ángel Casero competed in some of the biggest cycling races in the world, known as Grand Tours. These include the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España.

Tour de France Performance

In 1999, he had a great performance in the Tour de France. He finished fifth overall in this very challenging race. This is a fantastic achievement, as the Tour de France is one of the toughest cycling events.

Winning the Vuelta a España

His biggest victory came in the Vuelta a España. This is Spain's own Grand Tour race.
