Ángel Manuel Olmos was born in Madrid, Spain, on June 17, 1974. He is a Spanish music expert, also known as a musicologist, and a business person (an entrepreneur). He teaches musicology at the Madrid Royal Conservatory, which is a famous music school. He has also taught at other universities, like the University of La Rioja and the University of Liverpool.
Early Life and Studies
Ángel Olmos was born in Madrid, Spain. He first studied mining engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Later, he followed his passion for music. He earned his bachelor's degree in musicology from the Madrid Royal Conservatory in 2000. He continued his studies and received a doctorate in music history from the Paris-Sorbonne University. He also has a PhD in economics from the University of Alcalá.
Today, he is a Professor of Musicology. He has also been a professor at the University of La Rioja and the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid. He helps lead a big project called Discantus at the National Library of Spain. This project is about transcribing old music. He has written many books, around fifteen in total!
