In 1968, Ángel Viñas joined a special group of Spanish government economists. He also worked as an advisor to the Foreign Minister.
He has been a professor of Applied Economics at several universities. These include the University of Valencia, the University of Alcalá, and the Complutense University of Madrid. He also taught at the Diplomatic School.
