Žarko Potočnjak (born February 3, 1946 – died October 21, 2021) was a famous actor from Croatia. He acted in plays, on TV shows, and in movies.
About Žarko Potočnjak
Žarko Potočnjak studied acting at the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art. He finished his studies in 1972. After that, he became a regular actor at two famous theatres in Zagreb: Komedija and Gavella. From 1994, he also worked at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, which is a very important theatre.
Besides his theatre work, Žarko also acted in many TV shows and movies. He started appearing on screen in the 1970s and was in about 30 TV series and many films.
In 1983, he married another actress named Asja Jovanović. They had a daughter together named Mirna. During the Croatian War of Independence, he served in the Croatian Army.
Žarko Potočnjak was also known for his voice acting. He was the Croatian voice of Mater in the Cars movies. He also voiced Don Twombly in the film Marmaduke.
