Ádám Bogdán (born 27 September 1987) is a Hungarian professional footballer. He plays as a goalkeeper.
Bogdán started his football journey in Hungary. He then moved to England in 2007 to play for Bolton Wanderers. He played 120 games for them. In 2015, he joined Liverpool.
While at Liverpool, he went on loan to Wigan Athletic in 2016. An injury cut his time there short. After recovering, he was loaned to Hibernian in Scotland in 2018. He later signed with Hibernian permanently.
Ádám Bogdán also played for his country, Hungary. He made his first international appearance in 2011. He played in 20 matches for Hungary.

Starting in Hungary
Ádám Bogdán was born in Budapest, Hungary. He began his career with a Hungarian team called Vasas SC. He also spent some time playing on loan for Vecsés. A loan means he played for another team for a short time.
Time at Bolton Wanderers
Bogdán joined Bolton Wanderers in England on 1 August 2007. He signed a two-year contract. In 2009, his contract was extended.
In September 2009, Bogdán went on a one-month loan to Crewe Alexandra. He played his first game for them on 29 September 2009.
He made his debut for Bolton on 24 August 2010. This was in a League Cup game. A few days later, he played his first Premier League game. He came on as a substitute after the main goalkeeper was sent off.
Bogdán signed a new contract with Bolton in March 2011. This kept him at the club until 2014.
During the 2011–12 season, Bogdán got more chances to play. This was because the main goalkeeper was injured. He played well during this time. On 14 May 2012, he was named Bolton's Player of the Year. This award is voted for by the fans. He felt mixed emotions about the award. This was because Bolton was relegated from the Premier League that season.
Bogdán signed another contract extension in November 2012. This kept him at Bolton until 2015. In his last season with Bolton, he played 10 games.
Moving to Liverpool
On 12 June 2015, it was announced that Bogdán would join Liverpool. He moved on a free transfer on 1 July. He made his first appearance for Liverpool on 23 September. This was in a League Cup match. He saved three penalties in a shootout, helping Liverpool win.
He played his first Premier League game for Liverpool on 20 December. In July 2016, Bogdán went on loan to Wigan Athletic. He played 17 games for Wigan. He kept five clean sheets, meaning he did not let the other team score. In November, he suffered a serious knee injury. This meant he had to return to Liverpool for treatment.
On 2 July 2018, Bogdán moved to Scottish Premiership club Hibernian on loan. He played regularly for Hibernian at first. He was released by Liverpool in the summer of 2019.
Playing for Hibernian
Bogdán signed a short-term contract with Hibernian in November 2019. He had been on loan there before. His contract was extended in January 2020. He was one of three players released by Hibs at the end of the 2019–20 season.
Return to Hungary with Ferencváros
On 1 July 2020, Bogdán returned to Hungary. He signed with the champions, Ferencváros.
On 5 May 2023, he helped Ferencváros win the Nemzeti Bajnokság I league title. This was a great achievement for the team.
International Career

Bogdán was first called up to play for Hungary in October 2008. He made his first full international appearance in June 2011. This was in a game against Luxembourg.
He was named Hungarian Player of the Year for 2012. He received this award again in 2013. On 11 October 2013, he played in a World Cup qualification match.
On 1 June 2021, Bogdán was chosen for Hungary's squad. This was for the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament.
