Änis Ben-Hatira is a professional football player from Tunisia. He was born on July 18, 1988. He plays as an attacking midfielder, which means he helps both defend and score goals. Currently, he plays for the German club Hertha BSC II. From 2012 to 2016, he also played for the Tunisia national team, scoring one goal in 12 games.

Änis Ben-Hatira's Football Journey
Early Years and Youth Clubs
Änis Ben-Hatira was born in Berlin, Germany. He started playing football at a young age. His first club was Reinickendorfer Füchse. Later, he moved to TeBe Berlin, where he spent most of his time as a youth player. He also played for Hertha BSC during his youth career.
Starting Professional Football
After his youth career, Änis joined Hamburger SV. He made his first appearance in the Bundesliga (Germany's top football league) on February 24, 2007. He came into the game as a substitute. His first time starting a Bundesliga match was on April 1, 2007. Hamburger SV was impressed and extended his contract until 2012.
Loan Spells and Moving Clubs
In 2009, Änis was loaned to MSV Duisburg for a short time. A loan means a player temporarily plays for another team. He played for MSV Duisburg for two seasons. In July 2010, he had a trial with West Ham United in England, but he did not sign with them.
On the last day of the summer transfer window in 2011, Änis returned to Hertha BSC, the club he played for as a youth. He stayed there until 2016. After that, he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt in February 2016.
Later Career Moves
Änis then signed with SV Darmstadt 98 in August 2016. He left that club in January 2017. Soon after, in February 2017, he joined Süper Lig club Gaziantepspor in Turkey.
After leaving Gaziantepspor in July 2017, he moved to Tunisia and joined Espérance Tunis in September 2017. In February 2019, he joined the Hungarian team Budapest Honvéd FC. He scored his first goal for them on February 23, 2019.
In January 2020, Änis joined Karlsruher SC in Germany. He played there until the end of the 2019–2020 season. He then played for AEL in Greece until May 2021.

Youth National Teams
Before playing for Tunisia, Änis Ben-Hatira played for several German youth national teams. This means he represented Germany in international matches at different age levels.
Tunisia National Team Debut
He was first called to play for the Tunisia national team on February 21, 2012. Just eight days later, he played his first game for Tunisia. It was a friendly match against Peru.
First International Goal
Änis scored his first goal for Tunisia on October 9, 2016. This goal was against Guinea during a qualifying match for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He scored in the 79th minute, helping his team win 2–0.
