World Cup Magic
In Brazil's first match of the 1982 tournament, Éder scored an amazing winning goal against the Soviet Union. He flicked the ball up and then kicked it with incredible power and accuracy from far away. It was a truly spectacular shot!
He scored another fantastic goal in their 4–1 win against Scotland. He tricked the Scottish goalie, Alan Rough, by pretending to shoot. Then, he gently lifted the ball over him and into the net. He also hit a powerful free kick against the crossbar from 30 yards out in a game against Argentina. This shot led to Zico scoring the first goal of that match.
Éder Aleixo did not play for Brazil in the 1986 World Cup. He faced some challenges with his form and fitness that season. He also had some disagreements during a warm-up game.
