A New Beginning: The Church's History
The current Östra Torp Church was officially opened on June 14, 1911. It was built to replace an older church that stood in the same spot.
Why a New Church?
Sadly, the original church was destroyed by a big fire in 1909. After the fire, people decided to build a brand new church. This new building was designed by an architect named Theodor Wåhlin.
