Đorđe "Đoko" Rosić (Bulgarian: Джоко Росич, romanizedDzhoko Rosich, Serbian Cyrillic: Ђоко Росић; born February 28, 1932 – died February 21, 2014) was a famous actor from Bulgaria. He was also very well-known in Hungary.

About Đoko Rosić

Đoko Rosić was born in a town called Krupanj. This town was part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Today, it is in western Serbia. His father was Serbian, and his mother was Bulgarian.

When he was 19 years old, in 1951, he moved to Bulgaria. He studied at a university in Sofia. This university is now known as the University of National and World Economy. He finished his studies in 1957.

His Career in Radio and Film

Before becoming a full-time actor, Đoko Rosić worked as a journalist. He worked for Bulgarian National Radio for 17 years. People noticed his deep voice, which was great for radio.

He started his acting career in 1963. From that time until he passed away in 2014, he acted in over 110 movies! Most of these films were made in Bulgaria. He also appeared in many Hungarian movies.

His Family Life

Đoko Rosić was married two times. His first wife was Zanka Alexandrova. His second wife was Liliana Lazarova.

He had one daughter, Irina Rosic, who is also an actress. He also had a stepson named Stoyan Kolev. Stoyan was his second wife's son from her first marriage. Đoko Rosić had two grandsons and two step-granddaughters. He also had a great-grandson and a great-granddaughter.

Later Years and Passing

Đoko Rosić passed away on February 21, 2014. He was 81 years old. He died due to problems after brain surgery.
