07-Ghost is a popular Japanese story that started as a manga (comic book). It was created by Yuki Amemiya and Yukino Ichihara. This exciting story also became a TV anime show in April 2009. It takes place in a fantasy world filled with magic, unique schools, and different beliefs.
The manga even won a special award called the Zero-Sum Comics Grand-Prix. It was chosen as the best by both readers and editors, which is a big deal!
Story of 07-Ghost
The main character is a boy named Teito Klein. He was once a slave from the Raggs Kingdom. Now, he's a top student at the Barsburg Empire's military academy. At this school, students learn to use 'Zaiphon,' which is a special power, kind of like magic.
Teito's best friend at the academy is Mikage. Mikage is very important to Teito. They promise to always be there for each other, no matter what happens.
One day, Teito discovers a terrible secret. He learns that Chief of Staff Ayanami killed his father, who was the king of the Raggs Kingdom. Teito wants to get revenge for his father's death. However, Ayanami is very powerful, and Teito ends up in prison.
Mikage quickly finds out about Teito's trouble. He wants to save his best friend. Mikage helps Teito escape from prison. To protect Mikage, Teito pretends that he took Mikage as a hostage. Teito manages to get away, but his flying machine is shot down by Ayanami.
Luckily, three bishops from the 7th District's church rescue Teito. They hide him safely in their church. Teito soon discovers that he carries a powerful gem called the Eye of Mikhail. Ayanami wants this gem and tries to capture Teito.
So, Teito and the three bishops, who are members of a group called the "7-Ghost," begin to fight. The 7-Ghost are like guardian saints of their world. Together, they fight for peace and justice. Teito also needs to uncover the truth about the big battles between the Raggs Kingdom and the Barsburg Empire.
