The 100 First Plaza is a tall office building located in San Francisco, California. People also know it as the Delta Dental Tower. It stands at 27 stories high, which is about 136 meters (446 feet) tall. This building is found at 100 First Street in an area called the Financial District. This part of the city is where many important businesses and offices are located.
Construction of the 100 First Plaza was finished in 1988. It is currently the 35th-tallest building in San Francisco. A famous architecture company called Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) designed the building. They gave it a unique look with parts that step back as the building goes up. It also has a special outer wall (called a façade) with grooves and many sides. The building features several walls made of glass on its roof and a noticeable spire (a tall, pointed structure) that is about 19 meters (62 feet) high.
