1700 Pacific is a very tall building, called a skyscraper, in Dallas, Texas. It's located at 1700 Pacific Avenue in the city's downtown area. This building is about 655 feet (132 meters) tall and has 49 floors of offices. When it was finished in 1983, it was the second tallest building in Dallas. Today, it is the seventh tallest.

Building History

The land where 1700 Pacific stands used to be two triangle-shaped areas. These areas were separated by a street called Live Oak Street. In 1977, the Dallas Transit Board bought one of these triangles. They planned to build a big underground train station there for a new transit system.

Who Built and Owns It

The company that designed 1700 Pacific was called WZMH Architects. When the building was first completed, a company named Berkeley First City L.P. owned it. Another company, Jones Lang LaSalle, helped rent out the office spaces.

Today, the building is owned by a company called Olymbec. Olymbec also manages the building and helps rent out the offices. In 2016, Olymbec made many improvements and renovations to the building.

Fitness Center

In 2008, Jones Lang LaSalle announced something exciting for 1700 Pacific. A large fitness center, named "Elevation," decided to open inside the building. This fitness center is about 25,000 square feet (2,322 square meters) in size.
