The 1957–58 Eredivisie was the second season of the Eredivisie, which is the top football league in the Netherlands. This exciting season saw Door Oefening Sterk (DOS) win their very first championship title!

Exciting Play-off Matches
The season ended with some very exciting play-off games!
Championship Play-off
DOS and SC Enschede both finished with the same number of points. This meant they had to play an extra match to decide who would be the champion. DOS won this thrilling game 1–0 in extra time, earning their first-ever Eredivisie title!
Relegation Play-off
At the bottom of the table, Elinkwijk and GVAV also had the same number of points. They played a match to see which team would stay in the Eredivisie and which would move down to the Eerste Divisie (the league below). Elinkwijk won 2–1, which meant they stayed in the Eredivisie. Sadly, GVAV was sent down to the Eerste Divisie for the next season.
