The 1974 Atlantic hurricane season was a time when tropical storms and hurricanes formed in the Atlantic Ocean. It officially started on June 1, 1974, and ended on November 30, 1974. During this season, there were 11 storms in total. Seven of these storms were strong enough to be given names. Even though it had an average number of storms, it was one of the deadliest seasons ever recorded. This was mainly because of a very powerful storm called Hurricane Fifi.
