The 2011 Brisbane International was a big tennis competition. It brought together both men's and women's tennis players. They played on outdoor hard courts, which are special surfaces for tennis. This was the third time this tournament was held. It took place at the Queensland Tennis Centre in Brisbane, Australia. The event ran from January 2 to January 9. It was an important warm-up tournament for the Australian Open. The Australian Open is one of the four biggest tennis tournaments in the world.

Men's Singles Champion

The winner of the men's singles was Sweden Robin Söderling from Sweden. He defeated United States Andy Roddick from the USA. The scores were 6–3, 7–5. This was Robin Söderling's first win of the year. It was also the seventh tennis title he had won in his career.

Women's Singles Champion

The winner of the women's singles was Czech Republic Petra Kvitová from the Czech Republic. She defeated Germany Andrea Petkovic from Germany. The scores were 6–1, 6–3. This was Petra Kvitová's first win of the year. It was also the second tennis title she had won in her career.

Men's Doubles Champions

The men's doubles champions were Czech Republic Lukáš Dlouhý from the Czech Republic and Australia Paul Hanley from Australia. They defeated Sweden Robert Lindstedt from Sweden and Romania Horia Tecău from Romania. The score was 6–4, but Lindstedt and Tecău had to stop playing.

Women's Doubles Champions

The women's doubles champions were Russia Alisa Kleybanova and Russia Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, both from Russia. They defeated Poland Klaudia Jans and Poland Alicja Rosolska, both from Poland. The scores were 6–3, 7–5.
