2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – UEFA Group D facts for kids
The 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification UEFA Group D was a football competition. It was one of nine groups in Europe that helped decide which teams would play in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Six national teams were in this group: Austria, Georgia, Republic of Ireland, Moldova, Serbia, and Wales.
The team from Serbia won the group, which meant they automatically got a spot in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The Republic of Ireland team finished second. This allowed them to move on to a second round of play-offs, where they had another chance to qualify.
