The current President, Yoweri Museveni, won the election. He has been the leader of Uganda since 1986. This election marked his sixth time being chosen as president. Bobi Wine is a musician and politician. His real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu. He was a member of parliament before running for president. He represented the National Unity Platform (NUP) party. He received over 3.4 million votes in the election.

How Were the Votes Counted?

After people voted, all the votes were collected and counted. This process is done carefully to make sure everything is fair. The person with the most votes becomes the president.

What is Voter Turnout?

Voter turnout is the percentage of people who voted out of all the people who could vote. In this election, about 57% of eligible voters cast their ballots. This means more than half of the people who could vote did so.
