The 53rd Battalion (Northern Saskatchewan), CEF was a special group of soldiers from Canada. They were part of the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I, also known as the Great War. This battalion was created on November 7, 1914. They traveled to Great Britain on March 29, 1916. Their main job was to send new soldiers to help the Canadian Corps fighting in the war. The 53rd Battalion was officially ended on October 12, 1917.
