How Teams Reach the Vanier Cup
The Vanier Cup is the final game between the winners of two national semi-final games. These games are called the Mitchell Bowl and the Uteck Bowl.
The Mitchell Bowl
In the Mitchell Bowl, the Laval Rouge et Or played against the Regina Rams. Laval had won the Québec conference championship, known as the Dunsmore Cup. The Regina Rams were the champions of the Canada West conference, winning the Hardy Trophy. Laval won this game with a score of 17–14.
The Uteck Bowl
In the Uteck Bowl, the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks faced the Bishop's Gaiters. Laurier had won the Yates Cup in the Ontario Conference. Bishop's Gaiters were the champions of the Atlantic conference, winning the Loney Bowl. Laurier won this game with a score of 48–24.
