History of 5 Star
The 5 Star chocolate bar first came out in India in 1969. It quickly became very popular there.
Years later, in 2016, 5 Star started to be sold in other countries. It was launched in Malaysia and the Philippines. In these countries, it came in different sizes. You could find small 'mini-bars', regular bars, and larger packs to share.
In the same year, 2016, 5 Star also arrived in Brazil. However, in Brazil, it was sold under a different name. It was called Lacta, which is another brand owned by Cadbury's parent company.
Since 2017, 5 Star has been widely available in South Africa. It took the place of another chocolate bar called Tempo, which was no longer being made.
For a short time in 2019, 5 Star was even sold in shops and supermarkets across the United Kingdom.
