The 5 Star chocolate bar first came out in India in 1969. It quickly became a favorite treat there.
5 Star Around the World
In 2016, 5 Star started being sold in other countries. It launched in Malaysia and the Philippines. In these countries, you could find it in small 'mini-bars', regular bars, and bigger packs for sharing.
The same year, 5 Star also arrived in Brazil. There, it was sold under a different brand name called Lacta. Lacta is another company that works with Cadbury.
Since 2017, 5 Star has been widely available in South Africa. It took the place of another chocolate bar called Tempo, which was no longer being made.
For a short time in 2019, 5 Star was even sold in shops and supermarkets in the United Kingdom.
