Early Life and Dreams
9ice grew up in a big family in Ogbomosho, a town in Oyo State, Western Nigeria. He later moved to the Bariga area of Lagos. From a young age, he dreamed of becoming a musician. His parents noticed his talent for singing and supported his dream.
Music Career Highlights
In 1996, 9ice made his first song demo, called "Risi de Alagbaja." However, his first official song, "Little Money," was released in 2000.
The Rise of "Gongo Aso"
A big moment in his career came in 2008 when he released the song "Gongo Aso." This song quickly became very popular. Because of its success, 9ice was invited to perform at the Nelson Mandela 90th Birthday Tribute concert in London in June 2008. This was a huge honor!
Awards and Recognition
"Gongo Aso" helped 9ice win many awards. He won the Best Hip Hop Artist of the Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards. In 2009, at the Hip Hop World Awards (now called The Headies), "Gongo Aso" helped him win four more awards:

Recent Music and Business
