About the Building
The ARCO Tower is easy to spot in the Los Angeles skyline. It is located across the 110 Freeway from most of the other big skyscrapers downtown. The building has a lot of space inside, about 205,054 square meters (or 672,744 square feet).
A Change of Name
When it was first built, this tower was one of three ARCO Towers in Los Angeles. ARCO was a large oil company. In 1998, ARCO moved its offices. Because of this, the building changed its name to 1055 West Seventh. This new name comes from its street address.
Who Uses It Now?
Since 2013, a healthcare company called LA Care has its main offices in the building. This means many people who work in healthcare now use this famous tower every day.
