A Choice of Magic is a wonderful book published in 1971. It's a collection of 32 fairy tales from all around the world! These stories were gathered and retold by a famous author named Ruth Manning-Sanders.

Most of the tales in this book were actually published before in her other popular collections. These include A Book of Princes and Princesses (1969), A Book of Giants (1962), and A Book of Dwarfs (1963). Other books featured were A Book of Dragons (1964), A Book of Witches (1965), and A Book of Wizards (1966). Stories also came from A Book of Mermaids (1967), and A Book of Ghosts and Goblins (1968).

But don't worry, there are also four brand-new stories that hadn't been published before! This book was later followed by another collection called Folk and Fairy Tales in 1978. That book also featured many of Manning-Sanders's previously published stories.
