A Night in Terror Tower is an exciting horror fiction novel for kids. It is the twenty-seventh book in the original Goosebumps series. The famous author R. L. Stine wrote this scary story.
This book was so popular that it became a two-part TV episode. It was also made into an audiobook and even a board game. The story gets some ideas from a real historical mystery. This mystery is about the "Princes in the Tower."
Plot Summary
The story follows two American kids, Sue and her younger brother Eddie. They are on vacation in London, England. Eddie really wants to see a creepy old castle called Terror Tower. So, they join a tour of the castle.
As they explore, Sue starts to feel uneasy. She notices a mysterious man in a black cape. He seems to be following them everywhere. Soon, the man starts chasing them! Sue and Eddie manage to escape the castle.
They rush back to their hotel room, but something is wrong. Their room is empty, and their parents are gone. Even stranger, they can't remember their own last name! When they leave the hotel restaurant, the man in black appears again. He uses magical stones to send them back in time. They land in the scary Medieval period.
Lost and scared, Sue and Eddie are still being hunted by the man in black. They find a peasant woman who offers to help. But she tricks them! She hands them over to the man in black. He is actually the lord high executioner, a very powerful and dangerous person. Sue and Eddie are taken back to Terror Tower. They are now prisoners and face a terrible fate.
In the castle dungeon, they meet a wise sorcerer named Morgred. He tells them a shocking secret. Sue and Eddie are not ordinary tourists. They are actually Susannah and Edward, royal heirs to the throne! The man in black is their evil uncle. He murdered their parents and tried to kill them too. Morgred had sent them to the future to keep them safe. He made them forget their true identities.
Now knowing who they are, Sue, Eddie, and Morgred are led to their punishment. But they fight back! They manage to grab the magic stones. Morgred uses the stones to send them back to the future again. Suddenly, they are back on the castle tour in the present day. A bearded man joins them. It's Morgred, who now calls himself Mr. Morgan.
