A Pobra do Caramiñal is a cool town in Spain, located in the Galicia region. It's right at the entrance of a special type of bay called a ría (which is like a long, narrow inlet of the sea, similar to a fjord). This specific bay is known as the Ría de Arousa.
A Pobra do Caramiñal is part of the A Coruña province and belongs to a local area called a comarca named A Barbanza. It's known for a unique festival procession that happens every September. The town has a big harbor, a nice public park called the Alameda, an interesting Old Town, and a popular beach where people love to relax.

The number of people living in A Pobra do Caramiñal has changed over the years. For example, in 1900, about 6,540 people lived there. By 2000, the population had grown to over 10,000 people. In 2010, it was around 9,726 residents.
A Pobra do Caramiñal's Harbor
The harbor in A Pobra do Caramiñal is a great place to visit! It's open to everyone, and you can see all sorts of boats. There are small fishing boats called dornas, which are tiny traditional boats. You can also spot much larger fishing boats docked at the quay, which is a long platform where boats can tie up.
There's a walking path that goes all along the harbor, right next to the beach. This path leads you to another part of the port where you'll find yachts, speedboats, and other boats used for fun, not for fishing. Some of the beaches in A Pobra used to have a special "Blue Flag" award from the EU, which means they were very clean and safe. However, they lost this award in 2015 because they didn't have enough lifeguards.
