Aaron Harding (born February 20, 1805 – died December 24, 1875) was an important politician from Kentucky. He served as a representative for Kentucky in the United States Congress. He was born near Campbellsville, in what is now Green County.

Early Life and Education
Aaron Harding grew up in rural schools in Green County. He learned about classic subjects and later decided to study law. In 1833, he became a lawyer, which means he was "admitted to the bar." He started his law practice in Greensburg, Kentucky. Sometimes, he was also known as Aaron Hardin.
Political Career in Kentucky
In 1833, Aaron Harding was chosen to be the prosecuting attorney for Green County. This job meant he represented the government in legal cases. Later, in 1840, he became a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, which is part of Kentucky's state government.
Serving in Congress
Aaron Harding was elected to the United States Congress several times. He was first elected as a Unionist, a political group that wanted to keep the United States together during the time of the Civil War. He served in the Thirty-seventh and Thirty-eighth Congresses, from March 4, 1861, to March 3, 1867. After that, he was elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-ninth Congress.
In 1866, he was a delegate at the Union National Convention. This was a meeting where people from different parts of the country came together to discuss important national issues.
Later Life and Death
After his time in Congress, Aaron Harding went back to working as a lawyer. He practiced law in Danville, Kentucky. He passed away in Georgetown, Kentucky, in 1875. He was buried in the Georgetown Cemetery.
