Aashika loved acting from a young age. She began auditioning for roles when she was just nine years old. Her mother, Minu Bhatia, runs a beauty salon. Her father, Rakesh Bhatia, is a businessman. Aashika also has a younger brother named Dev Bhatia.

Aashika Bhatia began her acting career on television in 2009. Her first role was in the TV show Meera. In this show, she played the main character, young Meera.

After Meera, she took on the role of Ginny in the TV series Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi. Her performance in this show made her very popular. Aashika then appeared in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi as Nikki Dixit. She also acted in Ek Shringaar-Swabhiman.
