Abderrazak Rassaa (Arabic: عبد الرزاق الرصاع) was a Tunisian politician. He was born on January 4, 1930, and passed away on January 7, 2020. He played an important role in his country's government.
Life and Career
Abderrazak Rassaa began his career as a French teacher. He taught at a school called Lycée Carnot de Tunis in the city of Tunis.
Working in Finance
After teaching, Rassaa moved into the world of finance. He became the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of the Banque de Tunisie. This is a very important job at a bank. From 1958 to 1964, he also served on the board of directors for the Central Bank of Tunisia. This means he helped make big decisions for the country's main bank.
Serving as a Minister
In 1968, Abderrazak Rassaa became the Minister of Industry. This role meant he was in charge of helping Tunisia's factories and businesses grow. The very next year, in 1969, he was appointed Minister of Finance. As Finance Minister, he managed the country's money and economy. He held this important position until 1971.
Later Years
Abderrazak Rassaa lived to be 90 years old. He passed away on January 7, 2020.
