Abdón Castro Tolay is a small village and rural area in the Cochinoca department. It is located in Jujuy Province, Argentina. This village was started in October 1919. The main thing people do here is raise llamas and sheep.

What's Special About Abdón Castro Tolay?
Abdón Castro Tolay was once called Barrancas. It is famous for its huge natural rock walls. These walls have ancient cave paintings and petroglyphs, which are carvings made into rock.
The village is named after a teacher, Abdón Castro Tolay. He spent his life helping the community. You can find the village on provincial route RP 75.
The main job in the village is raising sheep and llamas. There's also a place that spins wool to make clothes. This has helped the local economy grow. Years ago, a group of craftspeople made blankets for schools in the Puna region. Families from other towns in Jujuy also helped with this project.
