Rony has been a key player in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League.

• In the 2016-17 season, he played for Gazi Group Cricketers. He took the most wickets in the league, with 35 wickets in 16 matches. His team also won the championship that season.
• He stayed with Gazi Group Cricketers for the 2017-18 season. He took 17 wickets in 9 games.
• In the 2019 season, he again played for Gazi Group Cricketers. He took 7 wickets in 8 matches.
• For the 2020 season, he joined Mohammedan Sporting Club cricket team. He played only one match before the tournament was stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
• He made a strong return in the 2022 season with Brothers Union cricket team. He took 17 wickets in 11 matches.

• He joined Comilla Victorians for the 2015-16 BPL season. It was his first BPL season, and he did very well. He took 21 wickets in 12 matches, becoming the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
• He returned to Comilla Victorians in October 2018 for the 2018-19 season. He took 3 wickets in 6 matches.
• He played for Comilla Victorians again in the 2021-22 season. He took 4 wickets in 5 matches.
• He was kept by Comilla Victorians for the 2022-23 season. He took 3 wickets in 4 matches.

Barisal Bulls

• For the 2016-17 BPL season, he was chosen to play for Barisal Bulls. He took 4 wickets in 7 matches.

• In August 2018, he was chosen for a training squad for Bangladesh before the 2018 Asia Cup.
• He made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Afghanistan on September 20, 2018.
